FOUNDER - JENNIFER WILMOTH, LMFT
Jennifer is the Founder of Thrive Forward Therapy. She developed the practice from a desire to offer a welcoming place for people to move forward from difficult circumstances and find new ways to thrive in their life. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over a decade of experience. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Southern Wesleyan University in South Carolina and completed her Masters of Family Therapy degree from Mercer University School of Medicine. She is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Gottman Level 1 & 2, and PREPARE-Enrich to help couples and families have great relationships at every stage. She is an AAMFT Approved Supervisor offering supervision to developing and experienced therapists.
As a therapist, director, and clinical supervisor in private practice for many years Jennifer has worked extensively in the areas of relationship conflict, affair recovery, anxiety, depression, family conflict, self-harm, children concerns of angry outburst and acting out, young adult launching, grief, empty nesters, and parent-teen conflict. Jennifer has experience working with many leaders and entrepreneurs including celebrities, professional athletes, models, authors, government leadership, C-level executives, small business owners and she knows the unique concerns and challenges entrepreneurs and their families may experience.
Jennifer lives in the Atlanta area with her husband and two children. She enjoys traveling with her family, good food, writing, nature, and spending time with friends. She is a Clinical Fellow member of American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.
